The Walleye Masters Inc, is organized by a group of dedicated walleye anglers from the surrounding communities, which was formed in 1981 by Jim Henkes. The Club is a non-profit organization that has focused on the conservation and preservation of the exceptional walleye fishing on Lake Traverse. The Walleye Masters Inc. mission statement is to promote the walleye fishing on Lake Traverse, instill good sportsmanship and encourage catch and release. The Walleye Masters Inc. Club has been an active participant in the revitalization of Lake Traverse by donating benches, docks, bathroom facility’s and a long list of other charitable events in the Lake Traverse area.
